Tips to clean the hardwood floor

Wood flooring can go from sparkling clean to completely filthy in a matter of seconds. A spill, a pair of muddy shoes, or even a dirty dog that comes charging into the house can suddenly become a great nuisance.

The best way to clean hardwood floors starts with preventive measures and routine cleaning, but sometimes a deeper clean is in order.

Tip - Love your hardwood floors and they’ll love you back.

1.Sweep: Start by sweeping your hardwood floors with a soft-bristle broom that will do the job without scratching up the finish

2.Spot-Clean: Using a moist towel, gently wipe away any sticky spots that are visible. Avoid using a hard-bristle brush or anything abrasive.

3.Spritz: Choose a floor cleaner that’s designed for wood floors, that works on a variety of surfaces, including wood. Clean the surface with it and don’t overdo it.

4.Wait: This is the hard part, especially if you have children or pets, but waiting for your hardwood floors to dry thoroughly before walking on them will help you avoid footprints.

Always choose a clean toxin free alternative for cleaning your floors because that is the part of the house we come in contact with the most right from the moment we step in! Flooring of the house is also what our children and pets also love exploring and spending most of the time.
